Brighton Concorde 2 – 08/05/2018
So heading do to Brighton on a sunny Tuesday evening to a sell out gig at the Concorde 2 .
My first encounter with the Brothers Osborne was their support set to the Cadillac Three. I was highly impressed with their set , and not knowing much about them thought it would be good to check them out again!

Now onto the main event , hailing from Maryland these guys play music that is as entrenched as it is enriched from the deep south to Nashville , the influences are everywhere in their music.
They opened with a southern country rocker, 'Shoot Me Straight' with the guitarist taking centre stage , that set the tone for the rest of their set.
Rum followed Down home , with the early part of the set made of songs from the Pawn Shop album.
Things the were taken down a notch with the Little Feat influenced 'Weed , Whiskey and Willin' .
Then the band let rip with 'Drank Like Hank' , Stay A Little Longer', 'Heart Shaped Locket' , finishing the set with the hit single 'It Ain't My Fault'!
For a band that I thought didn’t have a profile in the UK , showed that there is a massive market for this brand of country rock that will continue to grow if bands of this calibre keep touring here.
The encore highlights included 'Shoot From The Hip' , from their first EP, Pawn Shop and finishing with the John Denver classic Country Roads….
If you get a chance catch this band live , you will not be disappointed . They are playing again in the UK in November and December.
