Anchor Lane

Gig review-

Anchor Lane 27 May 2018

Garage Attic, Glasgow

- Review by CC Badass

Each time I see Anchor Lane, they keep getting better, tighter and more powerful. Conor's classic bluesy powerful rock voice combined with Matthew's dark and heavy bass gives their new songs a somewhat Sabbath feel, but different.

You'd be hard pressed to find a tighter and heavier rhythm team than John on drums

and Matthew on bass.

They played mostly their new tuuunes, and the only song that they played from their debut EP was Finished For 12, and although their EP is brilliantly done, the I'm VERY excited to hear more of their new music! I can't wait for the next album!

Although this was a gig to showcase new tunes, it didn't stop them from injecting a bit of fun with Conor donning Raybans and becoming Tom Cruise for a blistering version of Danger Zone. They took that old tune by the scruff of the neck and gave it a right good shake. They gave that song a good raw asskicking into this decade!

This Glasgow band is definitely on the way up!

If you haven't got their EP yet, get it! Get yourselves to gigs!
