Given my natural affinity with the legend that is Slash and my default fangirl setting when I see Myles Kennedy live it's only natural that I would be excited about the latest single from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Their next studio album, Living The Dream is due for release on September 21st and Driving Rain is the first single to drop on the airwaves.

It kicks off with the clashing of drums and a signature Slash guitar riff.

“Left her heart in a letter said she’d never been better, but now I know” Myles slides into the driving seat with his defining rock vocals and it all ties together like the weave of a tapestry. A massive, musical tapestry. Its up-tempo and hits the ground running not missing the mark. It’s no mistake that you want to hit the road, take off like the proverbial bat out of hell and road trip your way into the rising sun. The track is setting the standard we expect from the album, and my standards are pretty high after hearing the debut. Keep your ears open and mark 21/09/18 on your calendar folks. Slash and Myles are not about to disappoint.
